Hi, my name is Rouzbeh. I’m based in Mountain View, CA. I love thinking about where technology is headed, diving into challenging engineering problems, and bringing together great people to build strong engineering teams. I also enjoy bridging the gap between engineering and business—figuring out how technical solutions can drive real value and improve the experience for the end users.

My core background is in Machine Learning, Software, and Electrical Engineering, but working in fast-moving teams or startups has pushed me into unexpected roles—hiring and building engineering teams, supporting technical aspects of acquisitions, meeting customers across Europe and North America, negotiating deals, and partnering closely with teams in Product, Sales, Operations, and Marketing. Over the past 7 years, I have been involved in the following projects:

  • Led the team in optimizing Transformer-based ML models for hardware-specific and efficient inference on embedded devices.
  • Led the design and implementation of Syntiant’s NDP Model Converter software package. A critical part of Syntiant’s software suite for porting machine learning models into Syntiant’s chip.
  • ML-powered products optimized for deployment on target hardware
  • Design and implementation of Syntiant’s first Transformer based search product. A transformer based architecture that is able to perform search across multiple embedded system cameras.
  • Collaborated with the CTO and traveled across Europe and North America to engage with business partners in designing Syntiant’s NDP Model Converter software and defining the next-generation chip specifications.
  • Design and implementation of Syntiant’s first vision-based model for Syntiant’s NDP200 chip and ported it to the NDP embedded software.
  • Train and porting of the first Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model for Syntiant’s NDP chip family.
  • Since joining, I have had the privilege of being part of two acquisitions and the revenue increase from a few million dollars to approximately $300 million.


📈 (Founder and CEO) 2021-2023

  • As Co-Founder and CEO of Value Cumulation, I initiated the venture solo, writing the software to provide financial insights into public companies. As the project evolved, I grew the team, incorporating design, engineering, and sales expertise. We operated independently for nearly two years but eventually decided to discontinue due to market saturation and intense competition. This journey offered me invaluable insights for future endeavors.


🔬(merged with Commure) 2019-2020

  • Led the end-to-end ML project for Athelas’s blood monitoring devices—including model development, PCB design, full-stack dashboard implementation, and FDA-compliant testing—resulting in product readiness up to regulatory clearance.
  • Design and implementation of Athelas’s ML stack for platelet monitoring devices.
  • Design of Athelas’s first PCB (Printed Circuit Board) for platelet monitoring devices.
  • Developed both the front-end and back-end software for Athelas’s Patient Dashboard.
  • Led a team to execute rigorous testing for FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and accelerating product approval.


Adobe, Inc. summer 2018

  • Summer internship at Adobe’s Sensei team in San Jose, CA
  • Built an ML-based recommendation system for Photoshop users, utilizing their past click history
  • Internship turned into a full time offer

  • Summer internship at Apple’s Siri team in Cupertino, CA
  • Built a Reinforcement Learning based system for user interactions with Siri



When I’m not at work, I’m usually engaged in personal projects such as Value Cumulation(Faded Venture) or reading business books 📚. I enjoy playing sports such as soccer ⚽, volleyball 🏐, tennis 🎾, skiing 🎿, swimming 🏊‍♂️, and hiking in national parks 🌲.
